Conservation Internship Position

Unique Places to Save (UP2S) is excited to be hiring a Conservation Intern that will be joining our team to provide stewardship of our 100+ conservation easements and nature preserves (7,000+ acres in total) located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky. This position is based out of the Triangle area of North Carolina.
This paid internship offers practical experience in land conservation with a primary focus on ensuring conservation easement compliance through regular site monitoring and detailed documentation. Key tasks include conducting property assessments, drafting baseline reports, and utilizing GIS tools to maintain accurate records. This position requires a blend of remote work and field visits, demanding independence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to learning land conservation principles.
