conserve restore habitat badgeThe Dudley Mill Conservation Mitigation is unique in that it was once a large pond that was impounded for a mill. The impoundment has now been removed to to restore the landscape to its natural state.

The dark brown waters characteristic of the Coastal Plain of North Carolina now flow freely in restored stream channels with native vegetation buffers and wetlands.
