The Upper Rocky restoration project restored and enhanced over 16 acres of wetlands and 8,000 linear feet of stream in an area experiencing increased suburban development pressure.
The project is an asset to the local community as flood control, water quality enhancement and native habitat. In addition to the environmental benefits, a public trail owned and maintained by the Town of Cornelius is adjacent to the conservation property offering outdoor recreation opportunities for the public and residents alike.
