Located in the Lower Cumberland-Old Hickory Lake River Basin of Sumner TN

The Lucky Landing Conservation Mitigation Easement includes restoration and enhancement of UT Camp Creek, a degraded first order tributary. The project streams are divided into four reaches based on existing functional condition. Recent and historical land use disturbances have caused widespread stream degradation throughout the project site.

UT Camp Creek has been straightened, channelized, and moved from its historic position in the floodplain causing widespread lateral and vertical instability. Most of the channel is deeply incised, lacks vegetative protection and provides little instream habitat for aquatic organisms. The restoration plan will address these impairments.
