Located in the San Bernard River watershed in coastal Texas, the Hitchcock Creek Mitigation Project managed by EPR, is a private ecological restoration effort aimed at improving stream and wetland health in a region under pressure from development and land use change.

The project enhances historically altered stream corridors and lowland areas by restoring natural flow patterns, planting native vegetation, and reducing erosion and sedimentation into downstream waters.

The land is protected under a permanent conservation easement held by Unique Places to Save, ensuring that these restoration investments are safeguarded for future generations.
