The purpose of this species mitigation bank is to help offset potential negative impacts on habitat for Indiana Bats (Endangered) and Northern Long-Eared Bats (Threatened) from the generation of renewable electricity, through wind energy production, to meet energy demand in the South Central region of the U.S.

The objective of this wind farm is to operate an economically viable commercial wind energy facility of 100 MW in southeast Oklahoma that contributes to meeting the energy needs of the region.

The bat conservation program/bank focuses on avoiding and minimizing potential impacts to both species of bats, and to minimize impacts to the bats through the protection and enhancement of high-quality bat habitat.
