The Gideon Conservation Mitigation Easement is nestled in a beautiful open valley that was formerly agricultural pasture. The Easement Property is currently in development with the mitigation partner to establish a vegetation buffer along the banks of Mill Creek. The Easement Property also encompasses areas of established forest that were enhanced to repair damage from livestock. Stream reaches that flow through Gideon were restored and enhanced to prevent damaging erosion and provide diverse habitat types for aquatic life.
