Currently made up of two conservation easements, the Umbrella Bank aims to provide stream and wetland mitigation credits to compensate for unavoidable impacts to the Yadkin Pee Dee Watershed.

The easement property is located in the valley of steep, hilly cattle pasture that has a spectacular view of Pilot Mountain in Surry County, NC. The native vegetation buffer established within the Easement Property will help protect sensitive stream systems from the pollutants that inevitably flow from the neighboring pastures.

Why the Right Conservation Partner Matters

Conservation easements are permanent, legally binding agreements that shape how land can be utilized far into the future. Because of that permanence, the organization you choose to work with matters as much as the land itself.
