conserve restore habitat badgeThe Toms Creek Tributaries Conservation Mitigation Easement is a part of the Yadkin 01 Umbrella Bank. Currently made up of two conservation easements, the Umbrella Bank aims to provide stream and wetland mitigation credits to compensate for unavoidable impacts to the Yadkin Pee Dee Watershed.

The Easement Property is located on a family farm that manages livestock operations and encompasses Toms Creek and unnamed tributaries.

The restored stream channels aim to help water transport in a non-erosive manner, which was a common issue before restoration. The native riparian buffers that were planted help absorb nutrient and sediment runoff from the hilly cattle pasture landscape which in turn, help to improve water quality of the Yadkin Pee Dee Watershed.
